The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation reports that two-thirds of American adults are overweight or obese. Not everyone is considered overweight from a medical standpoint, but almost everyone has some extra fat they’d like to get rid of. This is why the targeted, permanent fat removal industry is worth more than $200 million per year.

There are dozens of fat removal companies, and each clinic claims that their method is the best. With all the noise out there, it’s hard to see through the hype and figure out which, if any, of the popular fat removal methods are right for you. Here are a few of the most popular options:

CoolSculpting
The theory behind this method is that extreme cold kills fat cells, which the body then expels. The technician will use a small suction device to isolate an area of your body, then rapidly chill the area for a few moments. CoolSculpting is minimally invasive, but it may leave permanent nerve or tissue damage, and results aren’t guaranteed. Cases of paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, in which the fat cells and treated areas get larger after the procedure, have also been reported.

Liposuction
Unlike many of today’s fat removal procedures, the goal of liposuction is to remove fat cells directly. The good news is liposuction is more effective than many nonsurgical procedures—you can expect to permanently lose nearly 10 times more fat with liposuction than with almost any other method listed here, with the exception of HD Body Sculpting. Unfortunately, there are many potential side effects associated with such an invasive procedure (scarring and extreme bruising are practically guaranteed), and patients need a lot of time to recover.

SculpSure
This method is virtually identical to CoolSculpting, but it uses heat instead of cold. Because the heat is applied with a flat applicator, this method is well suited for removing fat on the stomach and thighs. Treatments are quick and easy, but the results are neither immediate nor permanent, and they may leave tissues burned, scarred, or damaged.

Sono Bello
Sono Bello offers a variety of surgical and noninvasive cosmetic treatments from clinics all over the country. Although Sono Bello can remove fat permanently, they’ll damage the tissue in the process, making a natural fat transfer impossible. Because their fat removal process involves lasers, there is a high likelihood of burning both internal and external tissues, which can cause nerve and tissue pain, and scarring is possible.

HD Body Sculpting: A Better Way to Improve Your Body
If you’re determined to lose your stubborn fat, and none of these options sounds perfect to you, look into Belle Medical. Our HD Body Sculpting treatment is an easy, minimally invasive, more effective alternative to CoolSculpting, Sono Bello, liposuction, and other fat removal solutions.

Our technicians use FDA-approved and patented equipment to liquify the fat with soft vibrations, which keeps the fat cells alive and healthy, meaning they can be safely transferred to another area of your body where you’d like more volume. Once the fat cells are liquified, they’ll be permanently removed with a gentle suction process that keeps them intact for a Fat Transfer if desired.

Whether or not you decide to get a Fat Transfer, you’re guaranteed to get the same permanent fat removal results you’d get from liposuction, but with fewer risks and a faster recovery time—you can visit one of our locations on a Friday and be back to work on Monday.

When you’re ready to lose the fat in your problem areas and gain a better body and renewed sense of confidence, contact Belle Medical to see what we can do for you. We’ll be happy to tell you more about why HD Body Sculpting is the best fat removal method in the business.
